Puppy Classes
Puppy Socialisation encompasses introducing your puppy to as many different situations as possible, in a safe environment and always in a positive and non-threatening way. This includes various situations in the environment - different sights, sounds and circumstances as well as people, older dogs and other puppies.

All of this together with basic obedience will prepare your puppy for things that life may throw at him.
What to expect:
-
Basic obedience training - includes training recalls, loose lead walking, sit, down, stay, “leave it”, settle etc.
-
Your puppy will have an opportunity to socialise with other puppies, older dogs and other people.
-
Your puppy will be exposed to different sounds, sights and situations.
-
We will set up various confi-courses to teach your puppy how to work out difficult situations and to develop confidence.
-
Matters such as house training, chewing, biting, jumping up, digging and more will be discussed in classes.
-
You’ll learn about behavioral problems such as frustration tolerance, resource guarding, separation related problems and lots more.

When to start:
The course is designed for puppies younger than 16 weeks old. This is their critical period and the best time to expose a puppy to novel stimuli. Anything a puppy is faced with that he has not been exposed to during his critical period, could be a problem for him going forward.
We teach using positive reinforcement methods (lure and reward).
No punishment or forced training is tolerated.
